Vrinda Read is an artist living in Suffolk whose work is based on impressions from places she visits. She graduated with a first class BA (Hons) in Fine Art & English in 1997 from Christchurch College, Canterbury, where she received the graduate painting prize. She is also a trained teacher of art.
Born in Wales, she has lived in China and France. She has travelled through much of Europe, South East Asia, and India. It is the experience of these places that forms the inspiration for her painting.
Through her work she seeks a visual language to show the essential elements of her subject matter. Landscapes of all kinds are often a stimulus in Vrinda’s work where she explores shape and colour to try to capture the essence of the scene.
